Coconut Grove Photos

The site www.hollywoodphotographs.com showcases a lot of historical photographs that are rarely seen circulating on the internet. A number of these rare pictures are actually from those of the once very famous hotel, the Ambassador Hotel and its night club, known as the Coconut Grove Nightclub. These Coconut Grove photos are considered as classics and contribute a lot to the history of the hotels in our country. The Coconut Grove photos that were uploaded on the site were printed in black and white but the memory of the hotel that was captured in print could never be bought and replaced. A lot of us could not even remember that a very famous hotel such as the Ambassador Hotel, once existed at the center of Wilshire Blvd. It was on 1st January, 1921 that this hotel actually opened and had been home to a number of presidents, and the big people in the entertainment industry.

A lot of gatherings, events, parties, and fashion shows have taken place in the Ambassador Hotel as well as to the Coconut Grove Nightclub, but only a few were captured in the Coconut Grove photos. It was probably the most popular place during the years 1930 to 1940 and had been frequented by the biggest names in the entertainment industry like Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Lisa Minnelli, Lena Horne, Martin and Lewis, Bing Crosby, Dorothy Dandridge, Supremes, Evelyn Knight, Mervin Griffin, Richard Pryor and Perry Como. The Ambassador hotel was designed by the Pasadena architect Myron Hunt and some of the photos of the angles of the interior of this great hotel were actually printed and preserved. This collection of Coconut Grove photos can only be seen on the website and cannot be downloaded without the permission of the site's administrator. Other rare shots in the collection of the Coconut Grove photos also include those of Bette Davis, Sonja Henie, Jean Harlow and William Powell.

These popular people were caught dining and having a great time in the splendid hotel, together with the other guests. If only the pictures of the other guests like, the different presidents who visited the place and the famous senator, Robert F. Kennedy, were taken, these Coconut Groove photos would have been more spectacular. These Coconut Grove photos are all printed in black and white and can be used for personal or commercial purpose for a corresponding fee. Even though these photos are as old as ninety years and more, still the quality and the memory of the place are still intact. These photos are so rare and can barely be seen in other sites on the internet, so if you want to view the images, simply go to hollywoodphotographs.com. All the photographs are available for sale.
