Jennifer Aniston Honored at Chinese Theater

Actress Jennifer Aniston sank her hands and feet into the cement in the forecourt of the Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Thursday, one day before the release of her latest film, Horrible Bosses.

'All actors who want to do this, it's really, really fun, but you really have to want to do it, because there's all sorts of stuff that comes along with it,'' the 42-year-old Aniston told the crowd gathered along Hollywood Boulevard. 'But man, I have to tell you, I never in my wildest dreams thought that I'd be sticking my body in cement.''

Aniston, who rose to fame playing Rachel on the hit sitcom Friends, was joined at the ceremony by her boyfriend Justin Theroux.

She joins some of Hollywood’s most popular and legendary celebrities who, also placed their hands, footprints and signatures in the world famous Chinese Theater Forecourt. Others stars who were also immortalized in the forecourt’s cement include, Margaret O’Brien, Sidney Poitier, James Stewart, Anthony Quinn, Lana Turner and Sid Grauman, owner of the Chinese Theater.

Jennifer was on February 11, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, California. The daughter of soap opera star John Aniston and actress Nancy Dow, Jennifer began appearing in stage productions in the late 1980s. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, where she was active in drama. After several minor film and television roles, Aniston hit Hollywood gold playing Rachel Green on the hit NBC sitcom Friends. She stayed with Friends for ten years, until the show ended in 2004.She won both a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award during her tenure on the show.

Aniston has also been a big-screen career, often alternating between small, independent films like Office Space and 2002's The Good Girl and big-budget movie like the Jim Carrey’s film “Bruce Almighty”. Recent films include 2004's Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller, Derailed and Rumor Has It. In 2006, she continued her mix of filmmaking styles with the ensemble production Friends with Money, which opened at Cannes, and the blockbuster romantic film The Break-Up Aniston starred in Marley & Me alongside Owen Wilson in 2008. 

Jennifer was married to actor Brad Pitt in 2000; the couple divorced in 2005 following  speculation that Pitt had an affair with co-star Angelina Jolie.
