The best Hollywood pictures are on the hollywoodphotographs.com web site.  There are over 7000 historic and vintage pictures covering more than ninty subject categories.  Some of the most popular subjects include the Hollywood Sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame and restaurants and nightclubs.

Other Hollywood pictures are of the Hollywood Canteen which existed from 1942 to Thanksgiving day in 1945.  During the three years it operated, more than three million servicemen visited the Hollywood Canteen.  They were able to dance with movie stars, be served coffee and sandwiches by celebrities and be entertained by some of Hollywood’s most popular movie stars.

Another subject of Hollywood pictures is the Hollywood Guild and Canteen which provided housing to visiting soldiers that came to Hollywood.  Mom Lehr founded and operated this famous facility in he heart of Hollywood.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame photos that are on the hollywoodphotographs.com web site are some of the best in any collection.  Started in 1960, the Hollywood Walk of Fame has installed more than 2500 stars with celebrities names in brass.  There are more than 400 Hollywood Walk of Fame photos on this web site. 

The Laurel Canyon photos and pictures on the web site show the development and growth of this hillside community.  The Lookout Mountain Inn sat on the top of the hill overlooking the canyon and was a favorite eatery during the early 1900s.

Another popular Hollywood pictures category was the famous Coconut Grove which was loscated in the Ambassador Hotel on Wilshire Blvd.
