                                                           HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME PICTURES

Unquestionably, the most exciting events that occur in Hollywood today are the Hollywood Walk of Fame dedication ceremonies.  These events honor celebrities in five categories of entertainment,: Motion Pictures, Television, Radio, Recording and Live Theater/Performance.  Since the first Walk of Fame stars were placed in the Hollywood Blvd. sidewalk, in 1958, there have been 2449 stars placed in Hollywood’s terrazo sidewalk -- the last being Jon Cryer.  The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is responsible for the selection of the recipients and installation of the brass stars.  The celebrity, or his/her agent or sponsor is responsible for the cost of the star and ceremony, which amounts to approximately $30,000.  The largest collection of Hollywood Walk of Fame Pictures is on the hollywoodphotographs.com web site.

Initially, there were about 1700 brass stars installed when the Hollywood Walk of Fame was first dedicated in 1960.  During the past fifty years, there have been hundreds of  Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, which were attended by thousands of adoring fans.  During these ceremonies, thousands of pictures have been taken by professional photograhers and fans.  The largest collection of Hollywood Walk of Fame pictures is hollywoodphotographs.com.  There are almost 400 pictures of ceremoning for such celebrities as James Caan, George Carlin, Ray Charles, Tom Cruise, Ron Howard and Michael Landon.

All the pictures on the hollywoodphotographs.com web site are available for purchase.  We provide both digital as well as actual photographic prints, in varing sizes.  In addition to Hollywood Walk of Fame pictures, there are over 6000 photos of old hollywood.
