VIEW THOUSANDS OF GREAT HOLLYWOOD PICTURES

** Click Here To View Photos **

For those interested in looking at thousands of old Hollywood pictures, the hollywoodphotographs.com web site is the largest of its kind.  With over 6000 pictures, covering more than ninety categories, this collection has something for everyone.  From crystal clear aerial photos to pictures of fashionable Hollywood premieres, this site has it all.  Probably the most popular category of photographs is the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  There are over four hundred images of Hollywood’s most famous celebrities having their names placed in the Walk of Fame.  Photos of Ron Howard, Elton John, Shirley Jones, Michael Jackson, Robert Mitchum and Tom Selleck  are just a few of the great photos in the Walk of Fame category.

Those interested in viewing yesterday’s celebrities at some of Hollywood’s most popular restaurants and nightclubs will want to look at the Ciro’s, Mocambo, Cafe Trocadero, Brown Derby Restaurant and Coconut Grove categories.  There's nothing like seeing photos of Frank Sinatra and is former wife, Nancy, at Ciro's.  Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman were also regulars at Ciro's.  Visitors can also see photos of Jean Harlow at the Coconut Grove, Clark Gable and Carole Lombard dining at the Brown Derby, Rita Hayworth at the Mocambo nightclub and Robert Cummings and Marsha Hunt at the Cafe Trocadero. Photographs of other nightspots include Earl Carroll’s Theater, the Moulin Rouge, Florentine Gardens and Dino’s Restaurant.

All of Hollywood’s most famous theaters are displayed in this massive photographic collection.  Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the Pantages Theater, Warner Bros. Theater, the El Capitan Theater and Grauman’s Egyptian Theater are just a few of the scores of Hollywood theaters.  Photographs of “dressed-up” Hollywood stars attending those elaborate movie premieres can also be seen on the hollywoodphotographs.com web site. There’s nothing like seeing handsome Clark Gable with his wife Kay Spreckles, walking into the Chinese Theater or Myrna Loy at a premiere at the Carthay Circle Theater.

One of the most popular and celebrated events during Hollywood’s heyday, was the hand and footprint ceremonies at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.  Beginning with Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford placing their hand and footprints in Grauman’s Chinese Theater’s forecourt, there have been hundreds of celebrities enshrined in the theater’s cement.  Scores of stars have been honored by imprinting their extremities in the cement in the theater’s forecourt -- including Steve McQueen, Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward, Jennifer Aniston, Marilyn Monroe & Jane Russell and many others.

Another popular subject of photos is of the Hollywood sign.  Originally, the sign read HOLLYWOODLAND which advertised the real estate development, by the same name.  After years of deterioration, the sign was rebuilt, in 1949, and the last four letters removed.  From that point, the sign has read HOLLYWOOD.  In the early 1970s, the sign was refurbished but it only lasted a few years.  In 1978, the old sign was demolished and replaced by a new sign made modern materials.  Over the course of its lifetime, the sign was modified to read, among other names, HOLYWOOD, HOLLYWEED AND SAVETHEPEAK.

Some of the many popular photo categories include the Hollywood Studio Club, the Hollywood Bowl, Pan Pacific Auditorium, Hollywood Hotels, Sunset Blvd., and many others.

All the photographs in the hollywoodphotographs.com collection are available for purchase.  Simply go to the web site and enjoy browsing through the thousands of great old Hollywood pictures
